Manjistha is considered a blood purifier, specifically used in Ayurveda to clean, cool and clear the blood of all excess pitta, heat, inflammation and toxins. Considered helpful for itching in eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, acne, acne rosacea, tinea pedis and herpes. A pitta pacifying diet is recommended while taking Manjistha.
